Gajar Ka Halwa Recipe

Gajar Ka Halwa

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg Carrots
  • 1/2 litre Milk
  • 50gms Khowa
  • 1 tsp Cardamom seeds
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 2tsp Ghee
  • 6-7 chasew nuts
  • 1tsp Raisins
  • 1tsp Almonds
  • 225gms Sugar
Method :
  • Wash and grate the carrots. Soak the raisins in water for 30 minutes.
  • Blanch and shred almonds
  • Take a frying pan add ghee when it is hot add the grated carrots.
  • Stirr and cook it for 10 mins .
  • Add the milk ,cashew and khowa. Cook on a low flame for 1 hour stirring in between.
  • Add sugar,cook till the sugar is dissolved and all the milk has been absorbed.
  • Add the slightly crushed cardamoms and the raisins. Mix well.
  • Remove halwa from heat and pour in a serving dish. Garnish with almonds. Serve it hot .
